Guest, Free, or Pro: What Each Tier Gives You
A plain comparison of what is included where
This is a straightforward description of what each tier includes. The short version: the analysis engine and the full puzzle database are available to everyone, including visitors with no account, and the paid tier is mostly about limits and history rather than access to different features.
What Everyone Gets
Stockfish analysis is available at every tier, including as a guest with no account. This is the core of the site and it is not gated. You can load a game, run full engine analysis, and step through it without signing up for anything.
The puzzle database — over three million puzzles — is also fully available at every tier. Guests can solve puzzles immediately.
The openings explorer and the bot are likewise open to everyone.
Guest
Without an account you get five rated puzzles and ten random puzzles per day, plus one survival session. Puzzle statistics are session-only: close the tab and the history is gone.
Games are not saved. You can analyse anything you like, but nothing persists.
This is deliberately usable rather than a teaser. If you want to analyse a game and solve a few puzzles, you never need to create an account.
Free Member
Creating an account raises the daily rated puzzle limit to ten and makes random puzzles unlimited. You get one survival session per day.
Puzzle statistics are kept for 30 days, so you can see how you are trending rather than just how one session went.
You can save up to ten games. That is enough to review a recent session properly, though you will hit it if you play regularly. You can also link one account for importing.
Pro Member
Pro removes the daily puzzle limits and the saved-game cap, and keeps your full puzzle history rather than 30 days, with statistics broken down across 60+ tactical motifs.
It adds Quick Import from linked accounts, custom board themes, fuller performance analytics, and multiple linked accounts.
Most of this is convenience and history rather than capability. The engine analysis you get as a Pro member is the same engine analysis you get as a guest.
Which One Do You Need?
If you want to analyse the occasional game and solve puzzles, the guest and free tiers genuinely cover that. We would rather say so than pretend otherwise.
Pro makes sense if you are working through a lot of games and want the history to accumulate — if you are reviewing every game you play, ten saved games and 30 days of puzzle stats will not be enough.
That is the honest dividing line. It is about volume and memory, not about access to the tools themselves.
